Katherine Sweetnam

Katherine is a commercial lawyer with over eleven years’ experience advising across a wide range of matters, with a particular focus on commercial, corporate and employment. She takes the time to get to know clients and their businesses, and gives practical, clear, actionable advice.

Katherine began her career at Taylor Wessing, advising private equity and corporate clients on M&A and general corporate matters, including advising Wahanda (subsequently rebranded Treatwell) on its acquisition of multiple companies across Europe. In 2015 she moved in-house at Treatwell to set up the legal function from scratch, leading the Legal and People Operations teams through a period of significant change, including acquisitions, the sale of the business and the onset of Covid-19.

She has since had various roles as General Counsel at SaaS scale-up businesses with operations in the EMEA, North America and APAC including Festicket (subsequently acquired by Lyte), Birdie and currently at Blink. Her achievements have included overhauling partner agreements and customer-facing terms and conditions, negotiating key agreements, auditing the employee option scheme, revising the group corporate governance structure, advising on complex employment matters, and playing a key role in various business sales and fundraising events.
