I am a co-founder of Arbor Law with over 20 years’ experience advising media and technology companies on legal and strategic matters.

I work with many start-ups supporting them all through their lifecycle from seed funding to exit. I also advise large corporates on general commercial matters.

I began my career in 1999 at city law firms Olswang and Baker McKenzie. After completing an MBA in 2007, I worked with media and technology companies including EMI, Time Warner and National Geographic in a mix of business development, strategy and legal roles. I also co-founded my own tech start-up, which gave me hands-on experience of the realities of raising equity investment and building a business.

Legal Specialties

My expertise spans a broad range of areas from corporate investment deals to commercial contract negotiation of media and technology agreements. I also advise on data protection and intellectual property issues.

I have worked in the media and technology sector for my entire career as both a lawyer and an entrepreneur, so I have first-hand experience of the perspective of the founders that I advise as they scale-up their businesses and I enjoy being a trusted partner on the journey with them.

What Clients Say

That I focus on identifying the most important issues and provide pragmatic advice as a trusted advisor. That I take the time to understand their business and the context to give the most relevant, valuable advice.

Behind the lawyer

Outside of work, my passions are: (1) my family, with three young boys keeping me on my toes at all times; (2) sport - a lifelong Harlequins fan, but I also enjoy playing golf, tennis and, most recently, paddle-boarding; (3) wine - not only drinking it but also studying it, having completed numerous wine tasting exams. (Order of importance as set out above although it has been known to vary from time to time...)
