Jon is a senior corporate and commercial lawyer who has spent over 14 years working as a consultant General Counsel to scale-ups and high-growth businesses. He operates at the intersection of legal and commercial strategy, working directly alongside founders, boards and leadership teams to provide advice that is proactive, practical and tied to real business outcomes.
Jon trained at Norton Rose Fulbright before moving into in-house roles, where he built deep expertise in embedding within organisations rather than advising from a distance. He is particularly experienced in helping fast-growth businesses in SaaS, FinTech, property and private-equity backed sectors navigate the legal complexity that comes with scaling quickly, whether that is a fundraising round, an acquisition, a governance overhaul or building a legal function from scratch.
He combines transactional expertise across M&A, investment rounds, joint ventures and restructurings with the kind of operational, in-house perspective that makes legal advice genuinely useful at every stage of growth.
Jon has co-founded and maintains an interest in a variety of businesses, including in events, product development and venture-building. Outside work, he plays tennis and golf, cycles, runs and skis. His family spends a lot of time in France, and he is planning to travel more widely in the years ahead.
