Josh is a senior corporate finance and commercial lawyer with extensive cross-border experience across financial services, FinTech, technology, food and beverage, aviation and SMEs. He has held senior in-house positions at businesses ranging from start-ups and scale-ups to multinationals, including several years as Group Legal Counsel at Yas Holding in Abu Dhabi.
His legal practice spans M&A, multi-jurisdictional corporate finance, banking and finance law, and generalist in-house counsel services, including regulatory projects, insurance, corporate governance and commercial contract negotiation across the UK, UAE and other international markets.
Josh began his career at Credit Suisse before joining Travers Smith. He subsequently joined Schroders within their Investment Team, then moved to MUFG Bank as a project consultant, before taking on senior in-house roles in Abu Dhabi. He brings particular depth in acting as a Virtual General Counsel, providing strategic, embedded legal support as an extension of a business’s in-house team. He also has board level experience as a NED and Board Advisor.
Josh splits his time between the UAE, UK and Spain. His family has a strong musical background and he enjoys playing music and attending concerts. He and his wife also enjoy walking followed by a good meal in the sun, weather permitting.
