Arbor Law has earned a Band 1 London ranking for SME-focused Firms in Chambers UK 2027, retaining its Band 2 UK-wide ranking and securing individual recognition for founding partner Ed Rea in Commercial Contracts. Alongside its Legal 500 ranking, these results reflect the team’s commercial and regulatory expertise, strong client feedback and flexible, collaborative approach to supporting businesses.

Arbor Law has achieved a new Band 1 ranking for SME-focused Firms in London in the Chambers UK 2027 guide, alongside retaining its Band 2 UK-wide ranking in the same category.

The latest results also bring individual recognition for Founding Partner Ed Rea, who is ranked for Commercial Contracts UK-wide.

Band 1 is the highest ranking, denoting market-leading expertise and consistently outstanding client feedback. It serves as a particularly welcome reflection of the work Arbor has been doing with ambitious businesses across a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters.

Chambers describes Arbor as offering a wide range of legal services to SMEs and start-ups, with experience spanning licensing, regulatory compliance and commercial contracts, as well as sector expertise in financial services and technology and the ability to advise on cross-border matters.

The rankings are informed by independent research and client feedback. One client described Arbor as “responsive, great communicators, focused on the right commercial outcome and pragmatic”, which captures something important about the way the firm wants to work: close to the client, commercially minded and focused on advice that helps people make decisions.

Ed’s individual ranking recognises his work across a broad range of commercial contracts matters, with Chambers also highlighting his particular expertise in the telecommunications sector.

The Chambers results follow further recognition in The Legal 500, where Arbor is ranked in London for Corporate and Commercial / Commercial Contracts.

For Arbor’s founding partners, the results also speak to the kind of firm they have been building: one that brings together senior lawyers with substantial City, international and in-house experience, but works in a more flexible, collaborative and client-focused way. The aim has always been to give businesses access to experienced legal judgement without the layers, formality and distance that can sometimes come with a more traditional law firm model.

The rankings recognise the contribution of the wider Arbor team, as well as the clients who continue to trust the firm with complex and commercially important work. That support has been central to Arbor’s growth, and makes this latest recognition especially meaningful.
